Jamie Way

Director

Jamie can direct. But Jamie can't write. Jamie is an unconventional, brilliant art director. But Jamie can't write. Jamie is a terrific photographer. But heck, Jamie can't write. Jamie whips out ideas quicker than Wyatt Earp. But Jamie can't write. Jamie is a funny, fresh, creative partner, but he still can't write. Jamie can cook, but don't ask him to write. Jamie is always re-inventing himself, but never as a writer. Jamie has had a very successful career at Lowe Howard Spink as Art Director and successfully directed the accounts of BMW, Reebok, Lloyd’s Banks and the Heineken/Whitbread brands of Europe. But never as a writer. Lured back to Canada (not as awriter) by Harrod & Mirlin, he oversaw such major accounts as Evian International, Nabisco Brands, Suzuki Canada and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Jamie, the Art Director then became Creative Director and Managing Partner at Chiat Day, overseeing such major accounts as Nissan, Canadian Airlines and Taco Bell to name but a few. Always driven by the desire to be a writer,

Jamie Waytook over the Creative Directorship at Bensimon Byrne D’arcy and ran such major accounts as CFI. Molson Breweries and Scotia Bank. Under his direction the CFI campaign received numerous awards including the Marketing Gold. He has never taken the credit for being a writer, though he could have. Today, Jamie is the quintessential Renaissance Man: director, art director, creative director, husband, dad, cook, photographer - but no, he still isn't a writer. And if you want proof, have coffee with Jamie. He always draws the point he makes.
