Derek Shipman

If you've turned on a TV or gone online -- you've more than likely seen Derek Shipman's extensive resume of film and video work. For over 30 years, he's directed Television Commercials, PSA's, media for Web distribution and a mega-mix of other film and video programming. Over the course of his career, he's worked with just about every sector of business, 'not-for-profit' and government.

Derek attributes his success as a director to having the great fortune to work with and learn from some of the most talented and creative people in the craft.

As a result, Derek has been blessed with a fair share of international awards for Creative Excellence. He's directed in Hollywood — North and South, he's filmed in Europe, Canada, South America and most of the United States. He's directed action from helicopters, marine and of course on the ground, using a range of media from 35mm film to Red Hi-Def video with large crews and actors.
